In these elevators, the cabin dimensions are determined to allow healthcare personnel to move easily alongside the stretcher. Depending on traffic calculations, number of floors, and capacity of the institution, carrying capacities such as 1600 kg, 2000 kg, or 2500 kg can be evaluated; hydraulic drive solutions can be used in low-rise buildings, while electric drive solutions can be preferred in busier structures.
